Gooseberry Park by Cynthia Rylant is about a dog named Kona, a squirrel named Stumpy, a bat named Murray, and a snail named Gwendolyn. Stumpy is having babies, and Kona, Murray, and Gwendolyn are very excited. But when a cold winter storm hits Gooseberry Park, the only thing Kona can think about is Stumpy and her new-born babies. What will Kona do to save his best friend?
I would rate this book a 5 out of 5 because it is funny, emotional, and a fairly easy level book. I definitely recommend this book.
